Whether the project is negotiated or a hard bid, the owner cannot make informed decisions without a budget or cost estimate—the very heart of the construction process.  Walton prides itself on its ability to provide fast and reliable construction cost estimates in early phases of a project.  Our almost equal mix of negotiated and hard bid jobs insures that our cost databases include the most reliable and up to date costs for all aspects of construction. Knowledge of hard bid project costs enhances our ability to develop negotiated contract estimates that are in line with current market conditions.

 
Walton utilizes estimating software that is flexible enough to be used on projects of all sizes, and each Division includes a full time permanent estimating staff. These teams have developed local, regional and national subcontractor databases for use in the preparation of estimates.  As the project develops, these estimates are also used to refine the design and assure that the final construction cost will be within the client’s budget.
