The expansion of the Dallas Southwest regional market led Walton to open a division there in February 2003.  

Walton-Dallas was awarded its first project in June 2003, the $11 million Wal-Mart Return Center located in Waco, Texas. Since opening, the Division has entered the building market with a boom.
