Walton-New Orleans Presented Outstanding Contractor Award
Recently, Walton-New Orleans was awarded the Fourth Quarter Outstanding Contractor Award for maintaining the safest and cleanest site at the Keesler Air Force Base project. The Resident Officer in Charge of Construction from the Department of the Navy recognized Walton for having the highest overall rating within his area of responsibility. Bill Koziupa, Steve McNeil and Tom Pearson of Walton were also recognized for extraordinary efforts in keeping the project site free from hazards and avoiding lost time accidents.
Walton-New Orleans Employee Presented Safety Award
Randy Pierce, Walton-New Orleans project safety manager at the 61st Jackson Barracks project, was awarded the distinguished Louisiana National Guard Safety Award for processes he proactively started. These processes included setting up a GPS tracking map of the large project site for Ambulance services and a weekly joint safety audit. The project is incident/injury free and Duane Mikolas, division safety manager, credits Randy for this accomplishment.
